You can type words into the searchbox (1), select text on a web page (3) or translate text from the clipboard (4), e.g. copied from a different application like MS Word or Powerpoint. Just click the button to select a language pair you want to translate between.

Babel Fish Translate also lets you translate the web page you are currently on (2). Just click the option "This site" when the page you want to translate is displayed.

We will attempt to determine the language of the page currently displayed using AltaVista technology. By default we will translate the page into the language your Toolbar is in. You can select other languages as soon as Babel Fish has loaded the translated page.

If we cannot determine the language of the page you wish to translate, we will send you to the standard Babel Fish translation page, where you can select the language pairs yourself.
